2. Data Protection Law Advice
The Internet presence is to be classified as a teleservice, which is subject to the regulations of the German Telemedia Act (TMG). For orders, input masks are available in which further personal data can be entered in addition to mandatory data. The order functions are also to be classified as teleservices, which are subject to the regulations of the TMG. The provisions of the State Data Protection Act (LDSG) apply to the data entered. The employees of the State of Baden-Württemberg who are entrusted with the processing of personal data are bound to data secrecy in accordance with Section 6 of the LDSG.
2.1 General Processed Data
For statistical purposes and for the continuous improvement of the website, the following access data is logged each time the web server is accessed:
- Date and time of access,
- The requested access method/function,
- The input values of the access (for example the target file),
- The name of the requested file
- The client software used during the access
- The status message of the web server (for example, file transferred, file not found, command not executed).
The log data is stored for a period of six months and then deleted.
2.2 E-Mail Security
Personal data can only be accessed by the responsible staff. In the case of e-mails sent, the e-mail address and the request communicated in the e-mail will only be used for its processing. For this purpose, it may be necessary to forward the e-mail to the responsible office, for example, at a municipality. This is usually done via the state administration network, which cannot be accessed by third parties from the Internet.
2.3 Active Components
No Java applets are used on the website. Javascript and ActiveX controls are only used to control the display of images and movies. If not deactivated, session cookies are used for page performance, as well as permanent cookies for logins.
2.4 Cross-References (Hyperlinks)
The pages of this website contain external links to other websites. Links can be recognized by the fact that when you move the mouse pointer over them, it changes its appearance (usually from an arrow to a hand symbol). When executing external links, a new browser window is opened. The State of Baden-Württemberg accepts no responsibility for the external content of websites accessed via external links, as these are only checked and evaluated when they are included. An ongoing examination of the content is neither intended nor possible.
2.5 Data Protection and Security Measures
The state of Baden-Württemberg recommends the use of virus protection programs and, depending on the Internet access, a personal firewall. Users are reffered to the security instructions of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
